Tasks
- Administration of SQL and NoSQL database platforms (including MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and REDIS), you ensure high availability and performance, which is essential for reliable business operations.
- Working closely with other teams (application and infra), solving ongoing issues
- Incident, change and problem management
- Transforming team from reactive to proactive behaviour
- Supporting DBA service insource transition activity
- You will manage backup and recovery processes, and plan for disaster recovery to protect company data.
- Planning and executing database migration projects is also part of your responsibilities
Requirements
- Strong expertise in MySQL, MS SQL Server and/or Oracle, including clustering and Always On.
- Hands-on experience with database operation, including schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Solid understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning strategies.
Advantages
- Familiar with CI/CD practices and integrating database changes into automated pipelines
- Knowledge about additional database technologies (such as PostgreSQL, and Redis)
- Exposed to cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experienced in using Dynatrace for database monitoring
