Tasks
- Take ownership of backend integration and migration efforts within the Platform Integration Team.
- Deliver well-defined development stories independently, with a strong understanding of architecture, frameworks, and tools.
- Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and backend microservices powering the platform.
- Develop secure, scalable, high-performing services primarily in PHP, with supporting components in Node.js/TypeScript.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using AWS CDK constructs, supporting automation across environments.
- Contribute actively to code reviews, testing practices, and overall service stability.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure observability and reliability.
- Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, secrets management, and safe handling of sensitive data.
- Support and mentor junior engineers, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.
- Promote healthy development flow through Agile processes and iterative improvements.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, debugging, testing, and research while validating outputs responsibly.
- Understand core LLM concepts (tokens, context length, hallucinations) and recognize safe vs. unsafe AI use cases.
Anforderungen
Requirements
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), schema design, and performance optimization.
- 2–3+ years of hands-on experience working in AWS environments, including CI/CD pipelines and AWS CDK development.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus).
- Practical containerization experience using Docker.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
- Hands-on knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, etc.).
- Strong understanding of security best practices in backend and cloud development.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering practices, prompt engineering, and ethical AI usage.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience documenting and discussing technical trade-offs.
